Arrahman Arraheem Network’s Message at 34th ISNA Canada Convention in Mississauga
Arrahman Arraheem Network participated in the 34th Annual Convention of ISNA Canada held on 24-25th May at the International Convention Centre, Airport Road, Mississauga.
A special stall was set-up by the Network which was visited by a large number of speakers, officials, organisers and visitors particularly the youth. The team of Arrahman Arraheem Network while recording the views of the visitors, informed about the objectives and goals of Arrahman Arraheem Network which was to spread the real message of Islam - to love and respect people of all faiths and beliefs, and to remove the misconceptions about Islam and Muslims that we are not Terrorists or Extremists. Islam is a religion which promotes Peace and a Muslim is one who lives in Peace and shares Peace with the others.
The team highlighted that the Network is working to strengthen Inter-faith harmony by communicating and inter-acting with people of all faiths. In this regards we have visited Churches, Mandirs and Gurdawaras to talk to the elders and educate them about the real teachings of Islam. Non-Muslims visitors to the stall appreciated the work being done by Arrahman Arraheem Network and were pleasantly surprised to see the dedication of the volunteers who were doing all this effort on a self-help basis.
A note-worthy achievement by Arrahman Arraheem Network at this year Convention was the broadcast of live television pictures to the USA and Pakistan. An interactive session through Video-Conference was conducted from the stall with Founder of Arrahman Arraheem Mr Babar R Chaudhry live from Pakistan. Non-Muslims and Youth asked questions which were answered by Mr Chaudhry. While stating his message Mr Chaudhry emphasised that the need of the hour is for all Muslim to come together under one platform, to speak with one voice and to be united in their decisions so that the bad image and blame being attributed on all Muslims because of the misguided actions of few individuals, can be removed and cleansed. He said that Muslims should make use of the latest technology in order to spread the message of Peace around the world. While focussing on the youth, he said that we must educate our youth with the knowledge of Islam along with the knowledge of the worldly sciences so that they can grow up to be balanced individuals with a vision for the future.
The team of Arrahman Arraheem also emphasised that as Canadian Muslims it is our responsibility to be exemplary law abiding citizens, and as followers of Prophet Muhammed (PBUH), present ourselves as role models who are an asset for the Canadian society. #
